Privacy & Terms

1. What We Collect

We only collect what you type into one of our forms, plus basic usage data from analytics and our web host. Every form submission is sent to our team as an email. There is no customer database, no account system, and no payment processing on this site.

• Pre-order (Reserve): the product, color, size, closure style, and quantity you picked; your name and email; and, if you choose to add them, your phone number and surgery or procedure date.
• Waitlist: the product, your name, and your email.
• Contact form: your name, email, and message.
• Facility pricing, demo, and distributor requests: your organization's name and type, your name, role, email, phone, website, region served, estimated units, and preferred meeting time — whichever of these the form asks for and you fill in.
• Manufacturing updates: your email.
• With every form: the page you submitted from, and how you arrived on the site — the referring website, any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), and the first page you visited.

The Fall Risk Check scores your answers entirely in your browser. Your answers are never sent to us or stored. The only thing that reaches our server is the sex and world region you pick for the global statistics panel, which we use to fetch public World Health Organization data and nothing else.

What we don't collect: passwords, payment or card details, health readings from any device (no MEND device is on sale), or your location.

2. Health Information You Choose to Share

The optional procedure date on the pre-order form helps us plan around when you'll need your order. MEND is not a healthcare provider or health plan, and our website forms are not a medical record, so information you send through them is not covered by HIPAA. Please don't send diagnoses, test results, or medical records through our forms or by email.

3. How We Use It

• To reply to you, and to confirm, change, or cancel your pre-order or waitlist spot
• To send the manufacturing updates you signed up for
• To prepare facility quotes, demos, and distribution conversations you requested
• To understand which pages and links bring people to the site, so we can improve it
• To detect and prevent spam or abuse, and to comply with the law

We do not sell your information, share it with anyone for their marketing, or use it for advertising or retargeting.

4. Who Handles It for Us

A few service providers process information on our behalf, only to run the site and deliver your messages:

• Vercel hosts the website. Like any web host, it keeps short-lived request logs, including IP address, browser type, and the page requested.
• Resend delivers each form submission to our team as an email.
• ImprovMX forwards mail sent to contact@mendmedicalwear.com to our inbox.
• Google hosts that inbox (Gmail) and provides Google Analytics (see Section 5).
• unpkg serves the open-source React library used by the Fall Risk Check, on the Fall Risk Check and AirGuard™ pages. Loading it lets unpkg see your IP address and browser details.

We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Cookies, Analytics & Browser Storage

We use Google Analytics (GA4) on every page except the Fall Risk Check. It sets cookies to measure visits — pages viewed, time on site, traffic sources, and when someone opens or submits one of our forms. It records the type of form, not what you typed into it. Google processes this data under its Privacy Policy, and you can block it with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

To tell us how you found the site, we keep a short note of your referring website, campaign tags, and first page in your browser's session storage. It stays on your device, is attached only to a form you choose to submit, and is erased when you close the tab.

We don't use advertising or retargeting cookies.

6. How Long We Keep It

Form submissions live in our email inbox for as long as we need them to follow up on your pre-order, waitlist spot, or request, and we delete them when you ask. Google Analytics keeps usage data for the retention period set in our account, then deletes it. Vercel's request logs are kept only briefly under Vercel's own policies.

7. Your Choices & Rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Correct it
• Delete it, including your pre-order or waitlist spot
• Stop sending you manufacturing updates

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local privacy law, including data portability and, for EU and UK residents, the right to complain to your data protection authority. Email contact@mendmedicalwear.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

The whole site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and form submissions travel over encrypted connections to our email provider. Access to the inbox that receives them is limited to our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

10. Changes & Contact

We'll update this policy before we take payment, open customer accounts, or launch any connected device, and whenever the way the site handles information changes. The effective date at the top always shows the current version. If you've given us your email for a pre-order or the waitlist, we'll email you about material changes.
