MEND Medical Apparel was born from a simple belief: healing deserves dignity.
For generations, the hospital gown has remained virtually unchanged—thin, uncomfortable, awkwardly open in the back, and fastened with ties that never seem to stay where they should. At a time when people are often at their most vulnerable, we've accepted clothing that makes them feel anything but comfortable.
Our story began long before MEND. My father was a respiratory therapist on the Oregon Coast who eventually operated five medical supply stores serving coastal communities. He provided oxygen concentrators, mobility equipment, walkers, canes, and countless other essentials. But the equipment was never the point. What mattered were the people. Every prescription filled, every delivery made, every conversation was about helping someone regain a measure of comfort, confidence, and independence.
That philosophy became the foundation of MEND Medical Apparel.
We create recovery wear that feels as thoughtful as the care behind it. Garments crafted from exceptionally soft cotton-merino blends. Smooth bamboo-derived zipper components that replace cold, cumbersome metal hardware. Designs that simplify dressing for patients, caregivers, and clinicians alike. Most importantly, apparel with a timeless, understated style that people can wear with confidence—inside a hospital, during recovery at home, or beyond.
Because recovery is deeply personal. The clothing you wear during that journey should offer comfort, preserve dignity, and remind you that being a patient should never mean giving up your sense of self.
